Unique Infrastructure in Chile

Situated on a 24-hectare site with over 29,000 square metres of built space, Craighouse School boasts a unique infrastructure in Chile and the region. To support our Educational Project, the campus is designed with distinct sections and areas, prioritising space for academic excellence and learning, physical education and recreation; respecting nature, biodiversity, and the surroundings; and ensuring the safety of the entire community.

The Primary Section—ranging from Pre-Kinder to Year 4—covers over 8,000 square metres and features 44 modern and spacious classrooms, three music rooms, and two computer labs, as well as an inquiry centre, an exclusive dining hall, and both indoor and outdoor courtyards where our pupils can relax and socialise.

The Middle Section—ranging from Year 5 to Year 8—and the Senior Section—ranging from Year 9 to Year 12—each have over 4,400 square metres of built space, with 50 classrooms and independent courtyards.

They also share a large Inquiry Centre, a spacious and modern dining hall, ten science laboratories, 13 music rooms, and a recording studio; a theatre room and a computer lab, as well as three Visual Arts studios and four Technology areas.

SPORTS HALL

This is a modern two-level building covering 1,800 square metres, with a seating capacity for 1,000 people inside the venue. It includes stands for 150 spectators and an outdoor esplanade with seating for 400 people, equipped with outdoor screens for viewing ceremonies.

Our gymnasium was built following sustainable principles. It features an energy efficiency study, low-consumption LED lighting, thermopanel glass on the façades, and solar-backed hot water. We can host indoor sports on a central volleyball court, a central basketball court, and three additional training courts.

Furthermore, to promote physical activity, Craighouse School has outstanding sports facilities, including two hockey pitches—one water-based and floodlit, and another sand-based; four rugby pitches, one of which is floodlit; an athletics track; three volleyball courts; ten fully equipped changing rooms; and a barbecue area with a restaurant for community social gatherings.

Since 2021, Craighouse School has also had a mountain bike circuit along with dedicated facilities—a pump track and skill zones—covering a total area of 1,500 square metres.

At Craighouse School, we are strong believers and active advocates for environmental protection.

To reduce our energy consumption and institutional carbon footprint, we have invested in renewable energy by installing over 110 photovoltaic panels in Module 4.

Regarding responsible and efficient water use, we have three storage tanks for irrigation water, as well as two additional chambers for water collection and storage.
